Comparison Review

The RAM 2500 offers passengers in its extended cab about the same head- and legroom as the RAM 3500. As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the RAM 2500 and the RAM 3500.

There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the RAM 2500 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the RAM 3500. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the RAM 2500 and the RAM 3500 have similar Destination Charges.

The RAM 2500 is about the same width as the RAM 3500. When looking at overall length, the RAM 2500 takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the RAM 3500.

With similar torque, the engines of the RAM 2500 and the RAM 3500 are able to equally transmit their respective horsepower to the wheels.

The RAM 2500 has a similar turning radius to the RAM 3500, so both should maneuver just as easily in and out of tight spots.

If you've got something you need to tow, the RAM 2500 will do just as well as the RAM 3500, since they have about the same towing capacity. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the RAM 2500 and the RAM 3500.

In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit the same number of people in the RAM 2500 as you will the RAM 3500. You'll be able to fit about the same amount of lumber or gardening supplies into the bed of the RAM 2500 as you will with the RAM 3500.

The RAM 2500 comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the RAM 3500.
