Genesis Overview

Price (MSRP): $34,900 (G70) to $69,350 (G90)

Genesis is the new luxury division of the Hyundai Motor Company. For 2019, Genesis expands its lineup to three vehicles: the new G70, G80, and G90.

Competing against other well-established sport compacts, the G70 sedan looks to make its mark. It is powered by a standard 252-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive. A more powerful 365-hp, turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6 engine is also available.

The G80 is a full-size luxury sedan that seats five passengers. The G80 has three engine options: a standard 311-hp, 3.6-liter V-6, a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V-6, and a 420-hp, 5.0-liter V-8. All three engines are mated to the same eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) comes standard, while all-wheel drive (AWD) is available.

The flagship G90 sedan is powered by the standard 365-hp, twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 mated to the eight-speed automatic and RWD or AWD. The 5.0-liter V-8 is also available for the G90.
