Comfort
Passengers in the extended cab will be able to stretch out a lot more with the RAM 1500 than the RAM 3500.
As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the RAM 1500 and the RAM 3500.
Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the RAM 1500 will have less of an impact on your bank account than the RAM 3500.
Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the RAM 1500 and the RAM 3500 have similar Destination Charges.
Dimensions
Since the RAM 1500 is much wider than the RAM 3500, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging.
