Mazda’s most affordable — and second most popular — vehicle retains its appeal for the 2025 model year. The CX-30 now gains available Alexa Built-In voice control and online navigation with live traffic data and over-the-air updates. Otherwise, there are no significant changes to the subcompact SUV for 2025, and its base price remains the same as the 2024 model’s at $26,415 (all prices include $1,420 destination).
Powertrain Specs and MPG All CX-30s are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. In the S trims, the engine is normally aspirated and makes 191 horsepower and 186 pounds-feet of torque. In Turbo trims, a turbocharger squeezes output up to 250 hp and 320 pounds-feet of torque on premium fuel; on regular gas, the 2.5 Turbo makes 227 hp and 310 pounds-feet.
With or without a turbocharger, the CX-30’s four-cylinder is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive is standard. Official EPA ratings are not yet available for the 2025 model, but the 2024 model’s non-turbocharged variants get an EPA-rated 26/33/29 mpg city/highway/combined, and the Turbos are rated at 22/30/25 mpg.

The entry-level 2.5 S rides on 16-inch aluminum wheels and features LED exterior lighting and automatic headlights. It’s upholstered in black cloth and includes keyless entry and start, six speakers, a 7-inch screen in the gauge cluster, and an 8.8-inch infotainment display with a control knob, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2.5 S Select Sport gets black 18-inch wheels, heated black side mirrors and rain-sensing wipers. Its interior is spruced up with black synthetic leather seating and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat vents. It also comes equipped with Alexa Built-In, which allows for voice control over audio system and climate control functions.
The 2.5 S Preferred also rides on 18-inch wheels, these with a silver finish. Its mirrors are body-color painted, but the grille is black. It also includes a power moonroof, power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and a choice of colors for the synthetic leather upholstery.
Available exclusively in Polymetal Gray, the 2.5 S Carbon Edition gets black finishes on its 18-inch wheels and mirror housings. The Carbon Edition is upholstered in red leather and gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging and eight speakers.
At the top of the normally aspirated CX-30 line is the 2.5 S Premium. Its LED exterior lighting is upgraded with welcome and walk-away choreography and adaptive headlights. The Premium also features a power liftgate, a choice of leather upholstery colors, navigation, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a head-up display and traffic-sign recognition.
The turbocharged CX-30 lineup opens with the 2.5 Carbon Turbo. Like the Carbon Edition, it is only available in an exclusive color — Zircon Sand — with black finishes on the 18-inch wheels, mirror housings, grille and exterior trim. It’s upholstered in unique terracotta synthetic leather with black suede trim. The Carbon Turbo’s equipment largely parallels that of the 2.5 S Preferred, but it adds a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with touchscreen functionality when running Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (with wireless connectivity), as well as a wireless phone charger and eight speakers.
The 2.5 Turbo Premium parallels the S Premium but adds a windshield-wiper de-icer, heated steering wheel and the larger infotainment screen. The Turbo Premium Plus adds a 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, and reverse automatic braking. It also includes Mazda’s Cruising and Traffic Support, a hands-on driver-assist feature that combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering steering assist.
