2026 Honda HR-V Overview

Hot on the heels of updates to the bestselling CR-V compact SUV, Honda has announced updates to the 2026 HR-V subcompact SUV. Exterior visual changes are fairly minor, but inside the HR-V, lower trims now get the same interior tech as the top EX-L trim, and there are some additional cosmetic enhancements.

What’s New for the 2026 Honda HR-V?

The biggest change to the 2026 HR-V is the standardization of the 9-inch touchscreen and wireless device charging that were previously exclusive to the EX-L. The new screen is 2 inches larger than the 7-inch display in the 2025 LX and Sport trims, and it comes equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.

Besides those technological changes, Honda is giving the 2026 HR-V minor aesthetic updates inside and out. There are new wheel designs and two new paint colors, and the top EX-L upsizes to 18-inch wheels from 17-inchers. The LX still rides on 17s, while the Sport gets new 18-inch wheels. Rear privacy glass is now standard, the Sport gets updated gloss-black badging on the liftgate, and the EX-L gets an updated steering wheel design, footwell lighting and new dynamic lighting for the climate controls.

How Much Does the 2026 Honda HR-V Cost?
Pricing for the 2026 Honda HR-V is as follows (all prices include a $1,395 destination charge). Front-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive an extra $1,500 for all trims.

  • LX: $27,595
  • Sport: $29,395
  • EX-L: $31,445
What Are the 2026 Honda HR-V’s Powertrain Specs?
The 2026 HR-V’s powertrain carries over from the 2025 model. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder is the sole engine, and the only available transmission is a continuously variable automatic. The engine produces 158 horsepower and 138 pounds-feet, and though official EPA estimates for 2026 aren’t yet available, Honda is expecting fuel economy to carry over from 2025, too, with ratings of 26/32/28 mpg city/highway/combined for FWD and 25/30/27 mpg with AWD.
