2010 Scion tC Overview

Scion is truly a unique brand and while most models exhibit a box-like exterior, the 2010 Scion tC coupe is the most conventional, efficient and sporty Scion around.

The 2010 Scion tC keeps last year's 161-horsepower, 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine with Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i), which is mated to a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission. The tC boasts more power than the Chevy Cobalt, Nissan Sentra and Ford Focus, while maintaining nice fuel economy. The tC receives 20-21 mpg in the city and 27-29 mpg on the highway. Not only does the tC get decent mileage, but it is a certified Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV).

The tC comes equipped with a panorama moonroof, which means that there are two moonroofs—one in the front and one in the back. Both moonroofs cascade into the rear window giving an open-air feel.  17-inch alloy wheels and a chrome exhaust tip come standard. Nautical Blue Metallic paint replaces Blue Ribbon Metallic.

Another impressive standard feature is the spacious interior. In addition to the ample leg room is the cargo room — 35.4 cubic feet of it! Once the rear seats are folded down, the tC has almost as much cargo space as some small SUV’s. The tC comes equipped with a 6-speaker, Pioneer® AM/FM/CD stereo with 6-inch subwoofer, MP3 and satellite radio capability, Scion Sound Processing, and iPod® connectivity. Cruise control, Shift Logic, power side mirrors with turn indicators, multi-reflector auto-off halogen headlamps, sport front bucket seats, power windows and doors with remote keyless entry are all standard features.

For those who like to add their personal style, the tC has countless factory-available parts that allow you to create your own car.  Parts include front and rear spoilers, LED light enhancements, navigation system, custom 18-inch wheels, ground effects kit and dealer-installed supercharger.

The 2010 Scion tC has numerous standard safety features including seat-mounted side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags for the first and second rows, driver’s knee airbag, four-wheel antilock brakes and electronic brake-assist.

If you’re into sporty coupes with tons of standard features, accessories and respectable fuel economy, you’ll appreciate the 2010 Scion tC.
