Powering the MKC is a standard 245-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. A more powerful 285-hp, 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine is also available. Fuel efficiency for the 2.0-liter model is an EPA-rated 21/28 mpg city/highway. With AWD, it dips slightly to a 19/25 mpg rating.
