The Lincoln Corsair is a five-seat compact luxury SUV that is Lincoln’s smallest, most affordable vehicle. It shares its basic platform with the Ford Escape, but with luxury-level styling, trim and features inside and out. The base powertrain is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 250 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.
Also available is a Grand Touring plug-in hybrid version that’s powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that teams with an electric motor, a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard AWD. It’s rated at 266 hp, with an estimated 27 miles of electric-only driving range. Corsair competitors include the Acura RDX, BMW X3, Cadillac XT4, Genesis GV70, Infiniti QX50 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.
