Under the hood, the Soul has three engine options: a 130-hp, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, a 161-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and a 201-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder. The 1.6L can be mated to one of three transmissions: the standard six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, or a continuous variable transmission (CVT). The 2.0L has the same options except the six-speed manual. The Turbo 1.6L can be paired with either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or the CVT.
