The 2017 INFINITI QX60 is a midsize luxury SUV that seats up to 7 passengers across 3 rows. It competes with the Lexus RX, Audi Q7, and BMW X5. This year, the QX60 gets a performance boost and an available hands-free power liftgate. The more fuel efficient QX60 Hybrid will be covered in a separate overview.

Last year, the QX60 was refreshed and received a new front mesh grille, a more aggressive fascia, and more toned definition. The rear-end looks sporty with its trimmed-down, sleek bumper and accent lighting. Standard features include HID headlights, LED daytime running lamps, LED front fog lights, a power liftgate, and power/heated side mirrors. A roof rack and a rear bumper protector are also available.

Under the hood, the QX60 is powered by a standard 295-hp, 3.5-liter direct injection V-6 engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission and front- (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). Previously, it was tuned to produce 260-hp. Fuel efficiency for the QX60 is an EPA-estimated 21/27 mpg city/highway. It lowers to a 19/26 rating for the AWD model.

Inside, the QX60 has a premium leather interior with a 60/40 split-folding second-row seat and a 50/50 split-folding third-row seat. The center stack features a standard audio system that includes a 7-inch display, CD/MP3 playback, a satellite radio, and a USB port. It can be upgraded to include an 8-inch touchscreen. an integrated navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio, a DVD player, and a Bose premium audio system. Remote keyless entry, push-button start, tri-zone automatic climate control, power/heated front and second-row seats come standard. Available features include a power moonroof, remote engine start, a memory seat, climate-controlled front seats, heated second-row seats, power third-row seats, and wood interior accents.

The QX60 was named a Top Safety Pick Plus by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It also earned a full 5-star overall crash test safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). A backup camera and a tire pressure monitoring system come standard. Available features include adaptive cruise control, a surround-view monitor, a blindspot monitoring system, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, forward emergency braking, and pedestrian detection.
