2010 Hyundai Veracruz Overview

The 2010 Hyundai Veracruz is a premium midsize crossover that seats seven and boasts loads of luxury features.

A 260-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 delivers 15-16 mpg around town and 23 mpg on the highway. Power is delivered to two or (as an option) four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® manual shift control. The Veracruz offers more power and better fuel economy than the Honda Pilot, and is just a tick behind the Toyota Highlander.

Seven people fit inside the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz thanks to three-row seating and 87 cubic feet of cargo space. A simple lever on the second row of seats makes that middle row slide forward for easy third-row access. The Veracruz starts with the base model GLS, which now offers as standard a power driver’s seat, roof rack, leather wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, backup warning system and temperature controlled storage.

Air conditioning and a 172-watt stereo with CD player come standard, while an upgrade 605-watt Infinity® Logic 7® stereo and an LG® navigation system are optional. Four layers of carpet padding keep cabin quiet, while an electronically controlled engine mount minimizes engine noise. If you get your Veracruz with all-wheel drive, Hyundai throws in heated front seats at no extra charge. The Limited model adds leather seat skins, power front passenger seat with heat feature, power sunroof, dual zone climate control and a power tailgate; a DVD entertainment system is also available.

Four-wheel antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and a brake assist feature ensure you get the most out of the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz’s brakes and the highest probability of avoiding an accident. Active front head restraints, front, front-side and three-row head airbags minimize injury during collisions and as a result the Veracruz delivers Five-Star front and side impact ratings.

Do you want leather seats? Do you want to keep the kids quiet with their favorite cartoons on DVD? Do you want to enjoy a peaceful drive without getting an audio-beating from road and wind noise? If the answer is “yes,” then the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz has you covered.
