The 2021 Hyundai Elantra is a compact sedan that has been redesigned. This year, it features even more unconventional, angular lines. Nonetheless, it retains an athletic appearance.
Four trims are available: SE, SEL, N-Line, and Limited. The N-Line comes with a sportier front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels.
All trim except for the N-Line is powered by a standard 147-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. Powering the N-Line is a 201-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder joined with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch automatic. Fuel economy for the Elantra SE is a best EPA-estimated rating of 33/43 mpg city/highway. It slightly decreases to a 31/41 mpg rating for the SEL and Limited.
