2026 Honda Odyssey

2026 Honda Odyssey Overview

The 2026 Honda Odyssey continues its reign as a benchmark in the minivan segment, emphasizing passenger comfort, ingenious interior flexibility, and comprehensive standard safety features. Having recently received styling updates that gave it a bolder, more modern profile—including updated LED lighting and distinctive wheel designs—the 2026 model largely carries over its winning formula. Honda focuses on refining the features that make it a family favorite, delivering a vehicle that drives with surprising composure and confidence. Estimated pricing starts around $44,245 for the well-equipped EX-L trim, ascending to over $53,145 for the luxurious Elite model.

Proven V6 Performance

Under the hood, the 2026 Odyssey relies on Honda's tried-and-true 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated i-VTEC V6 engine. This robust powerplant delivers 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, providing more than enough muscle for quick highway merges and hauling a full complement of eight passengers. The V6 is paired exclusively with a quick and smooth 10-speed automatic transmission, which includes paddle shifters for a more engaging drive.

The Odyssey uses a front-wheel-drive (FWD) layout across all trims and is not available with all-wheel drive, a key differentiator from rivals like the Toyota Sienna. Fuel economy is competitive for a non-hybrid minivan, rated at 19 MPG city and 28 MPG highway, yielding a combined 22 MPG. When properly equipped, the Odyssey boasts a capable towing capacity of 3,500 pounds, sufficient for small campers or recreational trailers.

Interior Innovation and Comfort
The Odyssey’s interior remains its strongest selling point, centered around the patented Magic Slide 2nd-Row Seats. These seats slide side-to-side, offering multiple configurations, such as easy access to the third row even with two child seats installed, or moving the outboard seats closer together. The third row features a 60/40 split Magic Seat, which folds flat into the floor with one smooth motion, instantly transforming the passenger area into a cavernous cargo bay with up to 144.9 cubic feet of space. Leather-trimmed seating is now standard starting on the base EX-L trim.

Technology is deeply integrated for family convenience. Standard features include a 9-inch color touchscreen display and a 7-inch digital driver’s display. Available features like the CabinWatch® rear seat monitor and CabinTalk in-car PA system allow front-seat occupants to easily communicate with and view passengers in the back rows. Higher trims also add a 12.8-inch Advanced Rear Entertainment System to keep rear passengers entertained.

Standard Safety and Premium Trims
Every 2026 Odyssey is equipped with the comprehensive Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies. This suite includes Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with pedestrian detection, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow. Furthermore, the Blind Spot Information (BSI) System is standard, adding confidence on busy highways.

The Odyssey is offered in four main trim levels: EX-L, Sport-L, Touring, and Elite. The Sport-L adds a distinctive blacked-out aesthetic with gloss-black trim and black 19-inch wheels. The top-tier Elite maximizes luxury with ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power-folding side mirrors, and an upgraded 11-speaker audio system, truly delivering a premium driving experience for the modern family.
