The Terrain has three engine options: a 170-hp, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 252-hp, turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and a 137-hp, turbo-diesel 1.6-liter four-cylinder. The Turbo 1.5L and Turbo 2.0L engines are mated to a nine-speed automatic, while the Turbo-Diesel is paired with a six-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive comes standard, while all-wheel drive is optional.
