2010 Chrysler Town and Country Overview

A safe and comfortable ride with a spacious interior is what you look for in a minivan, and the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country delivers exactly that—and then some.

Available in LX, Touring and Limited trim levels, the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country seven-passenger minivan shares the same features as the Dodge Grand Caravan and competes with the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey and Hyundai Entourage. Three V-6 engine options are offered, starting with a standard 175-horsepower, 3.3-liter flex-fuel V-6; moving up to a 197-horsepower, 3.8-liter V-6 and finally a powerful 251-horsepower, 4.0-liter V-6. Each is mated to either a four-speed automatic transmission with auto manual or six-speed multi-speed automatic transmission with auto manual.

EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings for the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country aren’t bad for a minivan at 17 mpg in the city and up to 25 mpg on the highway.

Sitting on either 16- or 17-inch wheels, the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country features power sliding doors and Stow ‘n Go second-row seats, which fold into the floor to maximize cargo room. Also standard are 60/40-split third-row seats with one-touch operation and optional seat heaters for the front- and second-row seats.

Swivel ‘n Go second-row chairs that rotate 180 degrees to face the third row are also optional and include a removable table that installs between the two rows and in-floor covered storage bins. Integrated child booster seats, a dual nine-inch rear DVD entertainment system with swiveling third-row monitor and SIRIUS Backseat TV are options that will keep the kids entertained.

The Town & Country boasts the incredibly versatile UConnect® system that can fulfill your digital dreams through a 6.5-inch touch screen. Turn your car into a Wi-Fi hotspot and connect laptops, phones, PSPs, PDAs and play online games, surf the internet and download music. The 30 GB hard drive lets you upload and store up to 6,700 songs, tons of photos and play your iPod/MP3 player through the sound system. Include Sirius Satellite Radio, turn-by-turn navigation and Bluetooth connectivity and you’ve just turned your car into the ultimate entertainment center.

Standard safety features for all 2010 Chrysler Town & Country models include driver and front-passenger head restraints, side curtain airbags for all three seating rows, antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability system and a rear sonar sensor that alarms the driver when an object is directly behind the vehicle. A rearview camera, blind spot monitoring system and Chrysler's rear cross path accident-avoidance system are optional.

The original minivan and arguably still the best, the 2010 Chrysler Town & Country is a wonderful family hauler, offering ultimate flexibility, tons of interior room, and abundant luxury.
