Don't Overpay for Your New Cadillac OPTIQ

2026 Cadillac OPTIQ Overview

For the new car shopper looking to make the leap into a premium electric vehicle (EV), the 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ is a compelling new choice. Positioned as Cadillac's most affordable all-electric SUV, it brings the brand's signature bold styling and high-tech luxury to a practical compact size, competing directly with rivals like the Audi Q4 e-tron and Volvo EX40. Starting MSRP is around $52,395.

All-Electric Performance and Range
Built on the Ultium battery platform, the 2026 OPTIQ offers a newly expanded range of powertrain options:

  • Single-Motor Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): This base configuration delivers 315 horsepower and boasts the highest estimated range of up to 317 miles on a full charge, ideal for maximum efficiency.
  • Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD): Upgrading to AWD bumps the power to 440 horsepower, with a slightly lower range of approximately 303 miles.
  • OPTIQ-V (AWD): The high-performance model delivers an exhilarating 519 horsepower, capable of hitting 60 MPH in an estimated 3.5 seconds.

The OPTIQ includes a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, granting access to the vast Tesla Supercharger network, in addition to traditional fast-charging stations.

Stunning Interior and Standard Tech
The cabin is the OPTIQ's major highlight, blending artful design with cutting-edge technology. The centerpiece is the massive, curved 33-inch advanced LED display with stunning 9K resolution, which serves as both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, running on Google built-in software.

Crucially, the OPTIQ comes standard with the acclaimed Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, allowing for autonomous driving on over 400,000 miles of enabled North American roads.

Other luxury features include a standard 19-speaker AKG Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos and a standard panoramic fixed-glass roof.

Practicality and Design
The OPTIQ’s exterior features the sleek, vertically oriented LED lighting and athletic proportions seen on the larger Cadillac EVs. Inside, the compact SUV offers a decent 26 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, expanding to 57 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

While the OPTIQ is lauded for its smooth, comfortable ride and abundance of standard luxury features, one key point for shoppers to note is the lack of support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, relying instead on the built-in Google system.
