The X5 has three trim levels:
xDrive40i: Equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine producing 375 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, this model accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 5.3 seconds.
xDrive50e (Plug-in Hybrid): Combining the same 3.0-liter inline-six with an electric motor, this variant delivers a total system output of 483 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. It offers up to 39 miles of electric-only range and a combined fuel economy of 22 mpg.
M60i: For performance enthusiasts, the M60i features a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0–60 mph in just 4.2 seconds.
All models come standard with BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
