2025 Audi A6

Having refreshed the A6 and A7 for the 2024 model year, Audi is taking it easy for 2025, shuffling some trim packages around and adding a few basic standard features. The biggest news for the mid-size sedan and hatchback is the new Nardo Sport Edition, available exclusively on the sportier S6 and S7 variants.

The Nardo Sport Editions combine Nardo Gray paint with black finishes on the roof, 21-inch wheels and exterior badging, as well as naked carbon-fiber mirror housings. Inside, the Nardo Sport Editions are upholstered in two-tone black-and-gray leather with red stitching and seat belts. The package costs $9,700 on the S6 and $11,200 on the S7.

What Else Is New?
Standard equipment on the 2025 A6 and A7 is largely the same as it was on their 2024 forebears, although the A6 gains standard traffic-sign recognition. Both cars are available in three trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. The strangely named Convenience Plus Package is newly available for the A6; it adds no convenience features other than upgraded LED interior lighting, but does include a sport suspension that lowers the car 0.8 inch, platinum-finish 20-inch wheels and black exterior trim. The A7 Premium’s Convenience Package also now includes upgraded LED interior lighting.

Higher A6 and A7 trim levels gain even more standard equipment. Premium Plus trims now include dual-pane acoustic glass, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and four-zone automatic climate control. The A6 Premium Plus also gains a power-operated trunk. The former Luxury Package, which includes massaging front seats and an upgraded leather interior, is now standard on both Prestige trims.

On the A6 Allroad station wagon, standard equipment now includes the Executive Package from 2024, adding heated rear seats, four-zone automatic climate control, dual-pane acoustic glass, power-adjustable lumbar support for the passenger seat and rear window shades; and the Luxury Package kit is likewise standard on the A6 Allroad Prestige.

The 2025 Audi A6 and A7 families are available to order now. Full pricing (including $1,295 destination fee) is as follows:

Powertrain Specs and MPG
The A6 and A7 are available with a variety of engines ranging from a 261-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder to a twin-turbo V-8 with more than double the power. Powering the A6 45, the base engine is the aforementioned four; the A6 55 and the A7 feature a 335-hp, turbo 3.0-liter V-6 that makes 369 pounds-feet of torque. Both engines are paired with a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission. All A6s and A7s feature Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive as standard equipment. The A6 45 returns an EPA-rated 24/31/26 mpg city/highway/combined, while the A6 55, A6 Allroad and A7 are rated at 22/30/25 mpg.

If not for the RS cars looming over them in power and price, the S6 and S7 would seem plenty potent. Both get a 444-hp, twin-turbo 2.9-liter V-6 generating 442 pounds-feet and married to an eight-speed automatic. They are rated at 19/27/22 mpg.

The RS versions of both the A6 and A7 were upgraded for 2024, with their twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8s now pumping out 621 hp and 627 pounds-feet of torque, and promoted from plain old RS 6 Avant and RS 7 to RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Performance. Also working in tandem with the eight-speed auto, the V-8 returns 14/21/17 mpg in both the RS 6 Avant Performance and RS 7 Performance.

Standard and Available Safety Features
While Audi offers most of the latest safety tech on the A6 and A7, you’ll have to pay to get it. Standard systems are limited to forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and front and rear parking sensors. Adaptive cruise control, lane departure steering assist, blind spot intervention, front and rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree camera system and a head-up display are all available.
