A four-speed automatic with overdrive and manual shift and six-speed manual with overdrive are also offered. EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings are an impressive 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.

The more rugged of the Subaru Impreza model lineup, the 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport sits on 17-inch alloy wheels and features a raised heavy-duty suspension. In 2009, the Subaru Impreza Outback Sport was built on an all-new platform with a wheelbase that is 3.7 inches longer than its predecessor at 103.1 inches.

Styling for the 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport highlighted by its two-tone appearance, front and rear bumper underguards, standard projector-beam halogen fog lights, 12-volt cargo area power outlet and roof cross bars. A standard rear lip spoiler, 60/40-split fold-down rear seat and clear-lens taillights with red LEDs also are standard equipment.

Other standard features include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, heated front seats, an AM/FM 100-watt premium stereo and a six-disc in-dash CD changer. An auxiliary audio input jack enables you to connect an iPod or MP3 player and the 10-speaker audio system integrates the SRS Circle Surround system. An optional navigation system with an integrated vehicle information system is also available.

As for safety, the 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport comes equipped with side-impact and side-curtain airbags, a vehicle dynamics control electronic stability system with traction control and antilock brakes with brake-force distribution and brake assist.

The 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport offers the fun-loving rugged outdoorsman, or just the fun-loving person who enjoys the outdoors a capable off-roading vehicle.
