2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid

2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid Overview

As we usher in a new era of fuel efficient vehicles, the all-new 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid helps set the tone by incorporating excellent fuel economy, ample power, fresh styling and fun/interactive technology.

The Milan Hybrid is Mercury’s first hybrid passenger car and is the sister car to the Ford Fusion Hybrid and has more power than the Prius, Insight and Civic Hybrid.  The Milan Hybrid derives its power from a 2.5-liter, 156-horsepower four-cylinder gas engine, which is paired to a electric motor combining for 191 net horsepower.   Most hybrids can travel up to 25 mph on electricity alone, which is admirable; however, the Milan Hybrid can travel up to 47 mph on electric power.  Not only does the Milan Hybrid have ample power, but best-in-class fuel economy with 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.   Now if that doesn’t leave an impression, then the fact that the Milan Hybrid can travel over 700 miles on a single tank of gas in city driving most certainly will.  The Milan Hybrid receives better fuel efficiency than its competitors—the Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid.  In addition to saving money on gas, but anyone who purchases a Milan Hybrid is eligible for a tax credit up to $3,400.

Not only is the 2010 Milan Hybrid a miracle under the hood, but the hood and the rest of the exterior have gone through a refresh from previous models.  A restyled hood, headlights and bumper are nice, but conservative compared to other sedans.  In the interior, the seat fabric is made from recycled materials with leather seating being optional.  Like many other hybrids, the Milan Hybrid features the gauge cluster called SmartGauge with EcoGuide that is designed to aid drivers to drive as efficiently as possible.  The available SYNC™ Communications and Entertainment System allows you to use voice commands to access your music collection by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth®.  The optional voice-activated DVD-based navigation system has a 10GB hard drive that stores photos and music.  An optional Sony Sound System features Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound, 390 watts and 12 speakers with two subwoofers giving you optimal sound performance.

Standard 4-wheel disc anti-lock brakes prevent wheel lockup and shorten stopping distances. Six airbags come standard and the new Reverse Sensing System uses ultrasonic waves to help you parallel park in tight spaces.  A tire pressure monitoring system and the SOS Post Crash Alert System are also standard.

Whether it is excellent fuel economy, top-notch power, subtle exterior styling, cutting-edge technology or a remarkable tax credit, the all-new 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid brings the best of all worlds together for the ultimate driving experience.
