2010 Ford Flex Overview
If you have a family and are looking for a vehicle that can handle the kids, or if you’re simply looking for a spacious, powerful, technologically-advanced and utterly unique car that can accommodate almost any situation, then the 2010 Ford Flex is for you.

The 2010 Ford Flex is a seven passenger crossover wagon in its second generation. The Flex is available in three trims – SE, SEL and Limited. All three models feature the standard 262-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6, while the new 355-horsepower, 3.5-liter EcoBoost™ V-6 is optional on the SEL and Limited. The EcoBoost™ engine is designed to give you the power of a V-8 with the fuel-efficiency of a V-6. Speaking of fuel economy, the 2010 Flex receives 16-17 mpg in the city and 22-24 mpg on the highway and competes with the Mazda CX-9 and Hyundai Veracruz.

The 2010 Flex might be short for “flexibility” with the many interior and exterior options. If you’re not feeling the body-colored roof, choose between a white or silver roof with an optional multi-panel Vista Roof, which consists of four skylights that cover all three rows of occupants. On the inside, the Flex has several seating configurations aimed at maximizing passenger and cargo space. Choose between two captain’s chairs or a bench for the second row and utilize the storage well that allows the rear bench to stow into the floor.

The available SYNC™ Communications and Entertainment System uses voice commands to access your music collection by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth®. Ford SYNC also includes traffic, directions and information services. A voice activated navigation system with rear view camera and SIRIUS Travel Link™ is standard on Limited models. A 6-disc in-dash CD changer, 390-watt Sony audio system with 10 speakers, 10-way power, heated leather bucket driver seat, power liftgate and onboard refrigerator are all attractive options.

When it comes to safety, the Flex has you and your family covered. The MyKey™ feature comes standard and allows you to limit top speed, the volume of the car stereo, and add extra seat belt warnings. Front side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) and a rear backup sensor all come standard. The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Cross Traffic Alert feature help anticipate a collision and lessen the odds of an accident.

The 2010 Ford Flex is spacious, powerful and highly functional, or what we like to call, “fun on wheels.”
