2010 BMW Z4 Overview
When it comes to pure driving machines, there is almost no competition for the 2010 BMW Z4.

Under the aerodynamically sculpted hood is a 255-horsepower, 3.0-liter inline-six engine, or a 300-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six. These engines propel the Z4 with a force surprising in such a small car. The power is directed through a slick six-speed manual transmission, a six-speed automatic or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the rear wheels. These powertrains yield 17-18 mpg city and 24-28 mpg highway. Power is better than the base motor in the Mercedes-Benz SLK and the Audi TT, and fuel economy slots in between the two competitors.

The 2010 BW Z4 benefits from a retractable hard top, so you can enjoy top-down driving and a safe, quiet coupe environment – each available at the push of a button. Superior chassis engineering delivers thrilling dynamics during cornering, such that you may feel you want to have an early mid-life crisis just to properly enjoy the rejuvenating feeling the Z4 roadster instills. Driving Dynamics Control allows you to customize the driving feel of your Z4 through normal, sport and sport+ modes.

The Z4 trim levels are differentiated with engine size. The sDrive30i features leatherette seats and economical trim materials, while the sDrive35i comes with leather seats paired to alloy and leather trim. The Sport Package includes upgraded wheels – 18-inch for the sDrive30i and 18- or 19-inch for the sDrive35i - enhanced suspension and more supportive sport seats. The Cold Weather Package adds a heated steering wheel and heated seats, while the Premium Sound Package adds USB media device connectivity, stereo upgrades and a six-disc DVD changer.

Disc brakes all around, with antilock and brake assist features provide excellent stopping power – great for fun and safe driving. BMW’s Dynamic Stability Control system keeps the Z4 planted and composed. Despite its small size and open top, the Z4 features a sturdy platform which combines with a good airbag offering to protect occupants in the event of a crash. For such an unfortunate event, the available BMW Assist satellite communications system allows you push-button access to a call center to get help – an especially useful tool for accidents occurring in areas with no cell phone reception.

Superior driving dynamics, exhilarating power and a very comfortable roadster interior make the 2010 BMW Z4 the right choice for sheer driving enjoyment.
