2016 Audi A4 Overview

New/Notable:

  • Compact luxury sedan
  • Not many changes for 2016
  • Turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine; front- or all-wheel drive
The 2016 Audi A4 returns sans major updates for 2016, besides the shifting around of a few features to different options packages. Otherwise, the sport sedan is unchanged.

Exterior styling will be very familiar to anyone who’s seen an Audi driving around town before, the A4 has kept the same shape and aesthetic for many years now. Subtle curves and symmetry, wrapped around the four-ring grille up front and attractive LED daytime running lights highlight the A4’s understated presence. Standard exterior features include rain-sensing wipers, a power sunroof, and 17-inch alloy wheels with larger 18- and 19-inch wheels optional.

Under the hood the A4 has one engine option, Audi’s 220-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that can found up and down the lineup of the German automaker. It is mated to a CVT on front-wheel drive models, or a six-speed manual/eight-speed automatic on quattro all-wheel drive models. Fuel economy is estimated at 24/32 mpg for front-wheel drive models.

The A4 is only offered in the Premium trim level, with several options packages available to augment the standard features. Inside, tri-zone climate control (standard) helps keep all occupants comfortable in the front or back. Leather upholstery, power front seats, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and a HomeLink remote opener also come standard. A navigation system with Audi Connect and a Bang & Olufsen sound system round out the technology options, while heated front seats are also available to help make cold days a little more bearable.

Standard safety features include six airbags, antilock brakes, and electronic stability control. Also available are a rearview camera, blind spot warning system, and additional side impact airbags in the rear.
