Buyer Beware: Approach with Caution

This was my first time buying from a dealership, I thought I had gotten a decent price on a dependable truck. I was ecstatic with my purchase. Then when i got the vehicle inspected, I was shocked at the $5,000 plus in repairs and maintenance that needed to be done. The salesman, Zach, told me this was a great truck and he drove one just like it, and they were dependable. He was not up front about underlying issues with the truck, and that there were issues at all. When i brought up all these issues and brought the truck back after the inspection report, i spoke with the used car sales manager, Trevor. Trevor told me the mechanics i had the vehicle inspected by were trying to get me to do all these repairs that didn't need to be done. Trevor knew some of the things that were on the inspection were already wrong with the truck, and agreed that they did need to be repaired after we lifted up the vehicle and took a look at things at the dealership. Trevor justified this by saying nobody would pay the price for a truck if these things were fixed, and that's why i got such a low price. This led me to believe that they knew all these problems existed, and chose not to make repairs, sell as is, and cover up the problems as much as possible. After bringing the truck back to the dealership and showing Trevor the issues with the truck, Trevor said their was nothing they could do for me, no price adjustments, nothing. Their safety inspections seemed nonexistent, or very minimal, considering the truck didn't have a windshield wiper when i test drove it, and they missed a brake light being out as well. Then they used their safety inspection as a justification for not fixing all the problems that showed up on my mechanics inspection because they were not mentioned on their safety inspection. BUYER BEWARE! I would not recommend purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership, and if you even consider it you should have any mechanics that aren't theirs do an inspection before buying. There were a lot of things I didn't know as a first time car buyer, and entrusted them to give me all of the details about the vehicle before i made the purchase which they did not. Their warranty for used cars over 100,000 miles is not worth it, and they will attempt to sell you gap insurance for 10 times the cost you could get with your own insurance. If I could give zero stars I would.

I purchased a 2011 Mitsubishi lancer GTS from this dealership. The salesman Sherman y Leung had used false information about the cars maintenance/service history, clean title, and explained how the vehicle has been fully inspected for any issues and that it was extremely reliable and well maintained. From the moment I drove the car off the lot I started having motor and suspension issues. I contacted the sales manager Trevor Stewart and did not get a reply until I posted a review that was showing how dissatisfied I was. He then contacted me and said he would only help me if I took that down. I took it down and then brought the car to the shop. It was there for the whole day and he said that their mechanics looked over the entire car and could not find one issue with it. Trevor then told me to go to KarMART Mitsubishi in Burlington and that is where I explained to the service manager up there Adam Bennett everything that was going on and how I was being treated. He suggested for me to get a 27 point inspection, along with a dye leak test as any time it rained my trunk would flood with water and I had suspected that the car was in a collision. The results of the 27 point inspection report found that every single question I had asked the salesman about the car was a lie. The engine pan was leaking both outer tie rod ends had play, The CV boots were failing and shooting out grease, the battery was not the correct one for this car and it was not anchored down. I have copies of every inspection report repair cost and receipts. I went to Honda of Marysville to talk to Trevor Stewart on in agreed appointment 1 o’clock on Monday. When I got there someone greeted me I told them that I was there for a while o’clock appointment with Trevor he said OK went back to talk to somebody came back to me said Trevor was running late and asked what exactly is this regarding so I told him that it was regarding the Lancer GTS that was sold under false pretenses. He then left for a couple minutes and came back and said that Trevor was actually not there and left for a family emergency and will not be back until the following week. So I show up the following week on Monday at 2 PM Trevor came out after ten minutes of waiting. And then asked me what this was all about and then I again reminded him about all the paperwork I had sent him through certified mail of all the copies of the inspection reports and repair services done by KarMART Mitsubishi. And he simply said yeah I was very confused to see all that paperwork and then we walked to his office and I explained how the salesman Had told me in front of a witness that there was no oil leaks ,the battery was the correct for the vehicle, the CV boots and the suspension was inspected and had no issues, and the exhaust was upgraded. Trevor then got extremely confrontational and blatantly told me “that the salesman can say whatever they want and as soon as you sign the as is agreement there is nothing I can do“ I tried to explain him that I signed the hours is agreement as was described and promised by the salesman. He kept interrupting saying “Would you like me to show you the papers you signed“ and I simply said no I just want the repairs that had to be done paid for since it was sold under false pretenses. He laughed in my face and said no that’s not gonna happen. I’ve then told him that I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau the general attorney and the CCS he again laughed and said go for it I don’t care. (This is the exact statement I wrote to Better Business Bureau and he failed to fight this accusation or leave a statement) I have also contacted the attorney general
