Buying experience gone bad

This is a factual and objective review of our very bad experience at Honda of Burlington. Heads up. We weren't going to write a review at first. But then 4 weeks after our visit we receive a "Notice of Adverse Action" from that dealership. A notice of adverse action means that we got denied a loan; a loan that we never requested as we simply walked away from the dealership after a condescending remark made by the owner. Our credit score is in the 800's! We visited Honda of Burlington before year end and were interested in purchasing a vehicle for my wife that we test drove at the dealership. From the start we called our budget and made them aware of our upper limit. They played us in a sense they asked every piece of information and justified the ask saying they'll only be able to give us the best deal if they know our credit score.  Long story short, when we felt being pushed into something we did not want (the salesman even tried to ask to buy a warranty to justify a $200 drop after 1 hour of negotiation), he did a textbook move and called the big boss in (Dustin Hoffman). The drop that spilled the whole glass was when he looked at us and cheaply and in a demeaning way said "what is $2000 to you" in front of my wife and kids. At this point we stood up and left. I so wanted to say what is $2000 to a dealership with multi million dollars yearly revenue. But I felt so hurt that I just wanted to run out from this place.  We felt so bad about the whole experience. We felt striped of our personal information and privacy. And today we receive this Notice. The ironic part is that we have excellent credit score.  I would not recommend this dealership. Apparently it's a family run business. I am not sure they understand the values of family especially when throwing condescending remarks of the sort to customers because we refused the deal.

Luckily I thought to check out Sims Honda and couldn't be happier with the experience. Clint DeFries was my salesperson and I found him to be straight forward, considerate, professional and informative. I highly recommend this dealership.

By far my best car buying experience yet! They worked hard to get the financing I needed and I left with exactly what I wanted! So grateful for their hard work and Chads patience and ability to explain to me different options and never giving up on me! Absolutely recommend and I will definitely continue being a customer there!!
