Clunky Car Buying Process at Jay Honda!

I have been buying cars for 30 years and most recently have been getting financing through my bank. I went to Jay Honda and they would not let me take the car home because I wanted to use my bank for financing. I was trading in a 2023 BMW X5 so they would have had my vehicle. I am still waiting to take my vehicle home 4 days later. I signed all the paperwork they have talked to my bank, but will not release the car to me until they receive payment from my bank. I have never had this many issues buying a car. While the people are nice and personable their process sucks! They need someone with a Green or Black belt to create a more efficient process. I had the same situation but a completely different experience with Cleveland BMW and Hendrick BMW. They got with my bank I signed the paperwork and took the car home the same day. I got financing through my bank both of those times and did not have to wait until the check was sent out. I even ordered additional parts before and took the car home. When the parts came in they called me and setup an appointment to get my parts installed. Needless to say I will never do business with Jay Honda again!

Why won't they negotiate till you find another car

My totaled car was taken to their collision center.I met Doug in the parking lot.I had 1 week before I had to return my rental car.I called him.Offer was deposit with up to 1 month wait,and a monthly payment I couldn't afford.I found a dealership with a new car in stock,at a monthly payment I could afford and they were holding till I received the check.When I told him,he called back and said since I didn't pay yet,they wanted me to come in to see other options.No.I have the car.He called again today wanting me to change my mind You need me more than I need you.Especially in this economy,don't play games and waste my time.
