I purchased my vehicle at this dealership seven years ago
I purchased my vehicle at this dealership seven years ago and have remained a loyal customer despite living closer to another Honda dealership. However, the service I have received over the past year has been less than satisfactory. Most recently, my vehicle was brought in for a routine service, recall check, and brake replacement. I anticipated that the car would be returned in excellent condition; instead, it came back with an array of issues that were not present prior to my visit. I returned to the dealership twice to have these problems addressed--issues that, in my opinion, should not have been missed if the mechanic had performed a thorough inspection. A few hours after my second visit, I noticed yet another problem: an EVAP warning, which typically indicates a leak or loss of pressure in the fuel vapor system. I called the service advisor to inform him, left a voicemail, and gave him adequate time to respond, but he never returned my call. After driving around a bit, I noticed a persistent gasoline smell. The car smelled like gasoline when I picked it up; however, I chalked this up to be residual vapor from the fuel pump replacement they had performed. This was not the case. I investigated where the smell was coming from and discovered copious amounts of gasoline leaking from my fuel tank. The leak was so severe that the Ann Arbor Fire Department had to respond and apply fire retardant before the vehicle could be towed to a new service center. There, technicians found that the fuel pump had not been properly secured and the O-ring was dislodged--yet another careless mistake made by Fischer Honda. Dealing with them has been an absolute nightmare. They have not offered any compensation for the work done at their dealership, despite the risk of harm their negligence posed. Reimbursement for towing and repairs was made nearly impossible and was offered only on the condition that I sign a legal agreement not to share my experience. The professionalism and workmanship at Fischer Honda are abysmal. Let this be a cautionary tale: avoid this place at all costs. Go to the folks at the Honda dealership on the other side of US-23–they'll treat you with common decency and get the job done properly.
