Shady
So much bait and switch with these people. I cannot imagine any knowledgeable car buyer would work with these car sales scammers. They are the epitome of the shady car sales stereotype. They started so astronomically high with all these add ons. When I told them I was easily receiving online prices for 500-800 below sticker, I wasn’t interested in discussing their $5k adjusted mark up that I noticed on all vehicle windows, and the $895 package for mud guards, wheel locks and nitrogen tires. Mud guards and wheel locks are less than $200 from Honda Accessories so I guess they charge $700 for nitrogen in the tires lol. Also added a 2500 warranty and something else for $1500 (dent protection/windshield, etc) which actually also included nitrogen tires too…when I explained I don’t need any add ons and other dealers are sending me prices under msrp, They assured me those other dealers would discount it $500-800 but then add a market adjustment when I got there. Does that even make sense for a dealer to do… discount the car then add a mark up? Also, in the line where you would typically see tag/titling for about $300, it was labeled fees and was over 1300. When I asked what all that was, he said it’s your tags/title and 2% commission. So they hide a “commission”. I had to explain to him that it’s clearly more than 2% cause tags are only about $300 and 2% of a Honda accord is not $1000. I told them I needed my KBB Instant Cash online offer met for my trade in, and to be several hundred under msrp with no “added packages”. They finally came back 7-8 thousand lower than their first astronomical sale price, but were still about at MSRP with the trade match. I left due to it being the first dealer visit and wanted to entertain the online offers that I got for 800 below msrp. The next day the manager came down $150 more and offered another $200 extra off if I financed with Honda. So essentially, the trade offer match and 350 below msrp. Since this was the closest dealer and they had what I wanted, I agreed to not nickel and dime over a couple hundred dollars and went in to finalize everything. As I’m signing papers in the finance office and tell them that I am expecting the advertised Honda rate due to my high credit score. I could tell something was up because he started fumbling around and his demeanor changed, then quickly added in a 2500 warranty and showed me the payment with the incentive rate I asked about, then when I said no to the warranty, it went down to 1000, then when I still said no, he said he had to talk to the manager about “something”. Finally the finance manager comes back and explains that they can only give me the agreed upon price if I take a rate 2.5% higher than the advertised incentive rate I qualify for with Honda. So basically they promised me a price knowing they would jack the interest rate up on me to just make that money back in financing, in hopes I wouldn’t catch it. I’m aware that some low incentive rates are in lieu of cash rebates. This is not the case for Honda, this dealer purposely agreed to a price knowing they would try to collect 3k more in interest from me than what I qualified for. Typical bad car dealer tactic. When I asked the sales manager why he never mentioned that was part of the deal, all he did was apologize for that oversight for not explaining, but told me I could take Hondas best rate if I would pay 3k more for the car. Went right down the street and easily closed up a deal for 1k under under msrp, full trade offer, and the Honda interest rate. That turned out to be a $650 better deal plus the $25/month interest savings by not selling me a higher interest rate.

I took the car in to fix the air conditioner which is
I took the car in to fix the air conditioner which is under warranty from Honda. They informed me I needed other services done. I had the other services performed, no confidence that those other services were done correctly. I went out to the car and it was still blowing warm air. Had to leave the car and it took them from Monday, Tuesday was a holiday and I did not get the car back until Friday. It was technician error, they left off a second snap ring, it took all this time to figure that out. Money should be refunded for the other services rendered as I am not confident that anything was done correctly and all the trouble they have put me through. Customer service is horrible, they do not call, you have to call and you can never get through. The phone just rings and rings and rings. I was also struck by a vehicle while I was there, although I was not hurt. I will never come back to this dealership ever.

NO COMMUNICATION once they have your Money!
Once you purchase a vehicle, the staff at DARCARS Honda will abandon you. Good luck trying to get any services/assistance after they have your money. They ignore commercial calls, commercial emails, and even calls/texts on their work cell phones. I purchased a used vehicle from DARCARS in January 2022. The process to purchase went quite smoothly. However, I never got my title (to clarify, I purchased virtually and had a family member drive the vehicle to DE since I was sick). I live in DE, so I attempted to call to inquire... I called, left many messages on the commercial phone line, and no one ever responded. I called/texted employee work cells, and they ignored me. I stopped by DARCARS Honda on Thanksgiving weekend (I live in DE), and I met the general manager, Payam Marandloui. I was told that I cannot get paperwork "because even though we're open, it's a Sunday." However, he offered to sell a car... so apparently he can sell a car on Sunday but not give me paperwork for a car I purchased from his dealership. He told me that I cannot get my title from the dealership, and that I needed to buy one from my local DMV. I contacted my local DMV in Dover DE, and they informed me that my dealership needs to provide my title, since it reflected in their system that DARCARS Honda had my official title. When I asked the DMV about my dealership telling me to buy one from them, she confirmed that they were making me buy a duplicate. When I reached back to the dealership, no response. I contacted the general manager and finance rep, Daniel, directly and they ignored my calls/texts.
