I live quite a ways away and was encouraged by their salesman to put down $500 to holda used vehicle. However, I was concerned about what the car would actually look like if I drove all the way up to Kentucky to see it. My contact person, Elijah Hart, told me not to worry because the deposit was refundable. He did not say that it was ONLY refundable if I did not agree that it was as spotless as he was claiming. Nothing was ever put in writing. I admit I should have clarified. When I changed my mind about the car altogether, AB Honda refused to refund my deposit or any part of it. I contacted Honda, received an apology, and was told that they would document a complaint against the dealership. Never give them any money up front without getting refund details in writing!
