Buyer Beware !!

Buyer Beware !! I purchased a used Toyota Tundra from these folks. The first day after purchase I noticed a shudder in the truck and thought maybe a tire was out of balance. Yes, this was a no warranty/as-is purchase. But this vehicle was on the front row, and you'd like to think they're a safe purchase. After 2 weeks, the shudder got horrible so I took it to A Toyota dealer to have it diagnosed. Turns out it had already been diagnosed at another Toyota dealer needing the torque converter changed out. Looks like previous owner went straight to Russell to trade it off. I notified Russell dealership of this by phone and visit. Was told repeatedly that the owner / general manager would call. At this point, I’ve only had the vehicle for 3 weeks. No call. I was hoping maybe they would buy the vehicle back, or help with repairs or at the very least call and say tough luck-it's Buyer Beware. Vehicle now has to have transmission and torque converter replaced. That's over $7000 through Toyota. Currently having transmission rebuilt. I'm not saying they knew about the transmission but it's looking more like they did. Anyway, I'll pay to get it fixed and move on, but it's a pretty Sad, No-principles dealership when they can't even call you just to say “we're sorry” or “Hahaha we got you”. So just remember this as you look at their used vehicle's, and they're being so nice to you. They'll forget you like a fart in the wind when you leave with your purchase. I notified sales team in person, they said owner would call. Notified again by phone, No call. Notified again by phone was told owner would call in the afternoon, No Call. Shame Shame !!

I have purchased vehicles from Russell Honda twice. Russell Honda is no better than any other dealership. The people who work here are friendly enough as long as you are spending money. They will pressure you to buy extended warranties when financing a new vehicle. This can raise the cost of financing for something you will likely never use. They claim servicing your vehicle with Honda will help it retain its value. This is a false claim. The service costs are as high or higher than any other dealership. The value of your vehicle will drop like a rock. Customer loyalty is a one way street. Russell expects loyalty from its customers but will offer no loyalty rewards to the customers in return. There are no deals to be had at Russell Honda. If you bring cash for a new vehicle, you should expect to pay the full sticker price. If you just have to buy a new Honda, Russell is OK but it's nothing special.

Best car buying experience...EVER

I recently purchased a 2017 Honda CR-V EX from Russell Honda. I can honestly say that it was the best experience I've ever had buying a new car. Everyone was very professional and I never felt pressured. In the past, I've had buyers remorse, BUT not this time. I love my CR-V so much! If you're looking to buy a Honda, I urge you to go see the folks at Russell Honda. Jimmy Landrum is the BEST salesman!
