Grateful for great service
As a single woman, it’s hard to know who to trust, especially when it comes to mechanics. I know nothing about cars. I took my cherished 2013 Z4 in because the hardtop convertible was stuck—wouldn’t finish closing so windows wouldn’t close and trunk wouldn’t open. I was told a new harness would cost over 2k. Plus, when I asked to change the oil, I was told the oil pan was ruined by the previous owner so would cost 2,800 to replace! I was stuck and let them know how unhappy and vulnerable I felt. After 3 weeks and a confusion on parts needed, a switch was only needed to fix the top bringing the bill down quite a bit. My service guy was extremely patient and kind…got me into a rental until they figured it all out. I will definitely continue using the dealer to help me take care of my car.

No DSC Hydro unit
I needed a new DSC Hydro unit for my 2007 M6 but you couldn't find a replacement unit anywhere in the United States. I was told it might be 3, 4, or 5 months before you can get one. So now I'm driving around with my ABS light on.

Mr. Coats, we are sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused. We escalated this issue to BMW AG at the time of your visit. Unfortunately, the DSC hydro unit manufacturer has been affected by supply shortages that are delaying the part. We are doing everything possible to work with the manufacturer and we are sorry that we are looking like the bad guys here. The reality is that manufacturers are still being affected today by COVID disruptions that occurred several years ago.
