AVOID BMW of Shrewsbury if you want a great customer
AVOID BMW of Shrewsbury if you want a great customer service experience. It is too much to write all my negative experiences at this dealership, so I'll share a few examples: 1. When I purchased my 2024 X5 from BMW Shrewsbury, the sale advisor (Mohammad) strongly encouraged me to purchase a seat cleaning warranty for my vehicle because my truck has light-colored seats. However, the dealership gave me the runaround and made me jump through hoops when I needed to use the warranty to repair damage to one of my seats. Although Mohammad told me that with the warranty I purchased, I could bring my vehicle to the dealership for any seat damage service requests, it was extremely difficult to get assistance, only for the dealership to finally repair my seat as what they described as a one-time "favor." 2. Mohammad promised me that if I brought my vehicle to the dealership, that a person they used to perform the repairs would be on site at a certain day and time to work on my vehicle. I brought my vehicle to the dealership, as instructed. However, after one week, a service representative insisted that I pick my vehicle up and return the loaner vehicle I received because the General Manager wanted the loaner back. When I asked about the status of my seat repair, I was told that, unfortunately, the person who does the seat repairs could not do the work required for my seat. When I asked how my warranty would work in light of the fact that the repair person was unable to repair my seat, I was told that, unfortunately, the company that manages the repair requests no longer did business with BMW. It was only after I reached out the the General Manager (Brad) to share my concerns that the dealership addressed my seat repair request. This is unacceptable. In short, do not purchase the expensive seat repair/cleaning warranty because it is a sham. 3. On February 6, 2026, I had a negative interaction Mohammad, one of the BMW Shrewsbury sale advisors, who later sent me a sarcastic, antagonistic and harassing text message after he refused to assist me. I believe that Mohammad sent me this inappropriate text message after he saw the email I sent to the General Manager expressing my concerns about the poor customer service I received from him. To make things worse, the General Manager sent a very short response that did not address my concerns. His response made it clear that he had better things to do than address the concerns I shared in my email. This is NOT OK. No sales advisor should send harassing communications to customers under ANY circumstances. While Mohammad may do a good job at selling cars and playing nice until he gets the sale, he is not as nice once the dealership seals the deal and gets your money. 4. Although BMW dealerships usually wash vehicles after service appointments, BMW Shrewsbury returned my vehicle without a courtesy wash notwithstanding the fact that its staff soiled the inside of my vehicle. The General Manager did not address my concern when I shared this with him. These are just a few examples of my negative experiences at BMW of Shrewsbury. I drove for several hours to visit this dealership, only to be treated poorly. I will never return to this dealership again. They will "play nice" when they want you to purchase a vehicle and treat you like crap once they have your money. AVOID BMW of Shrewsbury if you want a great customer service experience.
