Brought my car in for regular maintenance and to check out an odd noise. Service advisor dodged my calls, refusing to update me on status and then lied about progress even though no work was done. Kept my car for 2 days and did literally nothing (not even the simple oil change that was due) and lied telling me it had been done when I asked point blank. There are plenty of other service centers out there, so avoid this one at all costs.

Listen, you can look me up, I do not post many reviews. But I feel that this place has found a loophole in scamming people. I was in a desperate situation with a warning light on my BMW. I took it to a few places, even had some stuff called DEF Fluid drained and replaced. However, everyone I took it to said they didn't want to mess with it, take it to the dealer. So, reluctantly, I did. I kept an open mind because I need my freakin car. I got there and was approached by Bradley Lawn (One of 2 Senior Service Advisors that have this "grandpa" you can trust me vibe). He sits me down and walks me through everything I needed totaling over $1000. He never actually said this would fix the issues, but he didn't say it wouldn't. All he did was look straight into my eyes as my great grand-father would do and says, "I am going to do everything I can to help you". He sprinkled some hope in me that made me feel better. So I agreed. 4 days later he calls me and tells me I need to drain and replace the DEF fluid and that it would run me $2200 on top of the $1000 for the maintenance. At this point, I panicked. I do not have that kind of money. Yes, it is a BMW, but it has 50k miles on it and runs like a charm. But this warning light went from 200 miles until it won't start and no it's down to 37! I am freaking out. So, in my most loving Jesus voice, I politely explain to him, that I just paid $150 to another shop to do what he was wanting to do. I said Brad, there must be something else you can do. It made no sense. He was not listening. He got very irritated with me and barks out, "do you want to do this right or not"? I said heck no, I don't want to pay $2200 for something that was just done 5 days before this conversation. So I immediately left work to go down and talk to someone higher up. I arrived and conveniently, Bradley Lawn was not available. I gound the Service Manager (the guy who responds to all the bad reviews on here) I think his name was Eric. Note to Eric: No need to respond with your canned answer to this stellar review. SO I explain myself to this pleasant gentleman. He even calls the mechanic to come and meet with me. They both explain to me that the wrong DEF fluid id in the car. SO I ask them to explain the difference in the DEF fluids on the market. HE couldn't tell me the difference. HE just says that it has to be BMW, nevermind the BLUE DEF I bought stated clearly on the box, GOOD FOR ALL DIESEL SYSTEMS. Frustrated and feeling helpless, I pull Fernando to the side and ask him, humbly, what would you do if this was your car? He immediately answers and says, Well, first off, I would never own a BMW. He then tells me to just change the DEF fluid and drive it for an hour. The problem is I only have 37 miles to "no start". Frustrated and feeling hopeless, I left and found B and B Autohaus on Balboa Ave. Phillip agrees to look at the car and will do his best to find out what happened. After a few days, they discovered the NOX Sensor went bad. HE said the DEF fluid was fine. The cost: $556! I am happy to say that my car is fine and is no longer showing the warning light. I went back and looked at my receipt and not only did I pay $225 for a diagnostic, but they also charged me $27.99 for DEF fluid. Seriously, Brad and his crew are out to reem people out of their hard-earned money. Very disappointing considering that BMW is worth billions. The surprising part for me is that this place is owned by PENSKE Auto Group. Unless you want to get scammed and to pay ridiculous amounts of money for things you don't need, please drive to El Cajon or B and B Autohaus for repairs. #crooks #thieves #steerclear #someonepleasecallBBB #abovethelaw #stealfromthepoortopadtheirpockets

This place is wonderful- they are so friendly and knowledgeable, but not pushy! I love my new bmw and I definitely will recommend them to friends and family.
