We just purchased a new BMW X1 from Chapman BMW in Chandler. The experience was first class and seamless. From selecting the right vehicle with concierge service from Sam Karver, finalizing the deal with Pep, and then receiving much needed details on how to optimize the abundant tech in this 2026 BMW from Derek Dominguez. We have never purchased a vehicle before with more courteous and engaged people than at Chapman BMW in Chandler. Not to mention - If you haven't driven a BMW lately, you do not know what you are missing. Great people, great dealer and a kick --- car. Thanks again to Sam, Pep, and Derek.

This has been one of the worst dealership service experiences I’ve ever had. I originally brought my car in for an SZL replacement, which they repaired. The very next morning, however, the car threw a new warning light. I was told it could be connected and that they’d call me once a loaner was available to bring it back in. That call never came. When I was finally able to bring the car back, I was told I would need to pay an $800 diagnostic fee—even though this should have been related to their original repair. I agreed just to move things forward, despite being told originally that they’d handle it. Eventually, they said the ASCM needed replacement. After installing the new module, the same SZL they had replaced before was having issues again, and they still tried to tell me the two weren’t connected. To make things worse, my first service advisor quit in the middle of this process. My car sat there for three weeks, and most days I wouldn’t hear a single update unless I chased them down. When I did get information, I was repeatedly given completion dates that were pushed back—costing me money as I took time off work. Even after speaking directly with the general manager (who seemed apologetic at first), the same issues continued. When I tried to follow up with him later, he was conveniently “out of the office for the next few days” and I was stuck dealing with a new advisor who treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. They never admitted that the issues were connected, but they tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor by saying they’d cover it—when in reality it should have been covered from the beginning because the problems were connected. They just didn’t want to admit that and acknowledge that I was right. The only positive thing I can say is that they gave me a loaner, which is the only reason I’m giving them two stars instead of one. But I would never bring my car back to Chapman BMW. If you want quality service, go to Scottsdale BMW (Penske owned). I’ve worked with dealerships of every brand in Arizona, and this was by far the worst service experience I’ve ever had.

We apologize for your experience at the store. We agree that there were some internal issues with BMW’s ordering system that caused a delay in actually getting the parts in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, this wasn’t anyone’s fault on our end, but we represent the brand and will absorb it via these reviews. That said, I will respectfully disagree with the communication part. We did speak, and I was told that the car would be done the next business day as the part was ordered. It was only when we discovered the part BMW sent us was wrong that I passed you to Jeremy (Service Manager), knowing that I would be out of town for the next couple of days, and wanted you to have one point of contact. Jeremy spoke with you every day, updating status and, on occasion, sometimes multiple times per day. So I do believe we communicated effectively, as we were just as frustrated as you with the situation. The dealership itself is nice, however you're only as good as your people. The overall experience was good as far as purchasing of our vehicle but short lived once we wanted help after we bought the car. Particularly Jason Penny! This guy is bad news and avoid him at all costs, you'll have a much better 'after' the sale experience. Trust us!
