What Is the 2025 Volvo XC60?
The 2025 Volvo XC60 is a five-seat luxury SUV that’s notable for its powertrain choices, handsome cabin layout and impressive lineup of safety features. A 247-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is standard on B5 models and can be had with front- or all-wheel drive. B6 models come standard with all-wheel drive and a 295-hp turbocharged and supercharged version of the base engine. The XC60 Plug-in hybrid adds electric motors to the B5 engine to deliver an eye-popping 455 hp and 35 miles of electric-only driving range. The XC60’s rivals include the Acura RDX, BMW X3, Buick Envision, Lincoln Corsair and Mercedes-Benz GLC.

Five trim levels are available for the XC60 Plug-In Hybrid: the base Core, mid-level Plus, Ultra, Black Edition, and range-topping Polestar Engineered.

Should I Buy the 2025 Volvo XC60?
The Volvo XC60 remains a great choice for SUV shoppers who value a comfortable ride, classy interior, and long lineup of standard and optional active-safety features. The ride does get much firmer if you opt for the larger alloy wheels, however, and the price of plug-in hybrid models is steep when scaling to higher trims.
