Poor service, lies and excuses at Volvo Cars Belle

On Monday August 22, I found a 2015 Ford Edge that I wanted to purchase and emailed about availablitiy. The next day I called their number from the website and spoke with Travis Watters who emailed me on Monday. I gave my information and told him financing wouldn't be a problem plus I was putting money down because I'm out of state and didn't want to lose the vehicle. He said that's great and he was also going to find out a previous accident and if a 6/22/2022 recall had been repaired on the Edge. I called and let him know that I had the loan but he said the service dept. hadn't gotten back about the recall. On Wednesday, I called and emailed and never heard back. I called several more times and never heard anything back. I come to find out that the sold the car, they pretended not to know who Travis was and then they stated that he was on the online sales team and they aren't allowed to makes sales. They are suppsoed to turn it over to an actual salesperson. He also said that they don't take deposits which is the first I've EVER heard of a dealership doing, not taking money??? I bought a vehicle in Portland, Ore. four years ago purchasing it the same way. It was a Ford dealership but that shouldn't make a differnce. It was a lot a hemming and hawwing from Darren, the finance manager. I also asked to speak with Traci Amor, the sales manager and he didn't know who that was. This seems to be a poorly run dealership, with incredibly horrible communication skills with each other and especially customers. You'd think a full service name brand dealership would be more legit than the small owner but it seems you can't trust most of them. I would steer clear of Volvo Bellevue. I should have looked at all the bad reviews it's received, a lot of them being posted recently. I will also be contacting the BBB.

Service Advisors (Lindsay esp.) are great!

I have a 2015 XC70 purchased from this dealership. All my interactions with the service department have been great. Today (a Friday) Service Advisor Lindsey went above and beyond when I called late in the afternoon with a low battery message when I was just getting ready to go on a road trip. She got me right in (5:00 PM Friday!), service tech checked and changed battery asap and I was out on road. I also watched her provide a very patient explanation to an extremely meticulous customer with some language difficulty prior to me. Really great customer service.

I'm absolutely amazed at the last 2 weeks. This has been one of the worst car experiences of my life. We had an XC60 that we loved for 3 years, but since it was the first year with this model there were a few glitches that had been worked out since. Unfortunately, we were utterly lied to. We were told it would have the same functionality with Apple phones. It doesn't, it's now a glorified bluetooth speaker with zero integration. We also had it speced with foot motion trunk opener. It doesn't include it. They gave some garbage excuse about microchip shortages, while neglecting to mention it until AFTER we called. These guys are absolute liars. Never again, not only with this dealer but with all Volvos. Now we have 3 years with a piece of garbage car that it honestly may be worth it to have someone buy out the lease at 50%.
