Bergeron Volvo is not a luxury car dealership. They offer a mediocre service department that has ruined our family from buying or servicing any further vehicles with this brand as they put our family and others in danger on the highway. Our 2020 XC60 recently had two trips to service including a 30,000 maintenance visit and a follow up AC repair for an evaporator leak. The dealership was aware we were going on a road trip upon repair of the AC. During the AC repair session it was suggested to add on a tire rotation, which surprised me as I thought it had been covered during the maintenance visit. The repair took longer than estimated and we went down to the day before our road trip to pick up the vehicle. Forty-five minutes into this road trip the car started to shake. The vibration was subtle at first, and progressed over the six-hour trip. We suspected the dealership had not balanced tires after they rotated them. A head scratcher since they had suggested this add-on service. Thankfully, Costco Tire Services confirmed we could come right over and their technician was flabbergasted to discover Bergeron Volvo Service had not completed the final check on the vehicle before releasing it back to the customer. Red flags included: • Lug nuts on all 4 tires were not fully tightened to spec, not just the one tire involved. • Most importantly, the steel tire belt had separated from the driver side rear tire, and shifted outward making the tire unbalanced and at risk for blowout. • The tread depth on all 4 tires was measured at 3/32" or below, with tire replacement typically recommended for tread depths below 4/32", yet it was never mentioned by Bergeron Volvo either during the 30,000 mile maintenance visit or the tire rotation, suggesting the tire condition was never checked. Unacceptable yet grateful we had not harmed others or ourselves on the road with the shape our back tires were in by the time we reached Tennessee. Our car is in much better shape after working with both Costco Tire and Discount Tire Company in Franklin, TN to fix all the mistakes Bergeron Volvo missed. This is not a well-run shop, there is a lack of oversight with too much work pushed on underperforming mechanics. They need more space and service staff for the number of Volvo cars in Orleans and Jefferson Parish. DO NOT trust this service department, they have proven time and again they do not know how to service their own make and models.

Best auto buying experience we've ever had!

Best auto buying experience we've ever had! We were trading in our 2016 Volvo XC90 for a new one. My wife had her eyes on a 2023 XC90 at Bergeron's, but it had sold already. Billy Thomas showed us a few available 2024's, and they had one she liked even more! Billy was very friendly, knowledgeable, explained everything, found us all available discounts we qualified for, and worked hard to get our trade-in price (sight-unseen) higher. When we brought in our trade-in Volvo, Bill Thomas, the general sales manager (he's Billy's father too), bumped the already-agreed on value by another $500 after he saw it. The finance manager, Joy B., was very patient, friendly and also explained all options. Billy also spent a good deal of time explaining and demonstrating all the newer upgraded digital features of the XC90 to us. At no time did we feel rushed or pressured. Both Bill and Billy have helped take care of a few after-sale questions quickly and easily. We're really glad we bought the 2024 instead of the 2023. And we're really glad we bought it at Bergeron's. It couldn't have been a better experience- at least for car shopping. Thanks to everyone there.
