Deceptive pricing, wasted time, and complete lack of respect I spent over 6 hours at this dealership negotiating a 2024 Ford Edge SEL AWD advertised for $21,990. From the very beginning, I made it absolutely clear that any number discussed had to be OTD (out-the-door) — the standard industry term that includes all taxes, fees, and mandatory charges, with no surprises at signing. The verbal agreement was $22,000 OTD. When I was taken to finance, I was presented with a contract that completely ignored the agreed OTD price, adding taxes and fees on top, pushing the real total close to $24,000. This was not a mistake — it was intentional. The finance manager, Jason, attempted to push add-ons and, when I declined and questioned the discrepancy, his attitude changed immediately — rude, defensive, and unprofessional. It became clear the strategy was to wear the customer down and force a signature. To make matters worse: I explicitly requested that my credit be pulled only once They ran two hard inquiries without authorization I left without a deal, but with damage to my credit I am an experienced buyer and fully understand what OTD means. What happened here was a classic bait-and-switch in the finance office, a practice that may be common, but is still unacceptable. 🚩 Summary: Advertised price does not match the final numbers presented Agreed OTD pricing was not honored Customer’s time was completely disrespected Customer’s credit was mishandled I do not recommend this dealership to anyone who values transparency and honest business practices. If you do not carefully review every line of the contract, you will pay more than expected.

This was easily the most pleasant and comfortable I have ever been at a car dealership. We recently had a miserable experience at another dealership and the whole experience at Southwest Volkswagen was the EXACT OPPOSITE. I always felt like the salesman and finance manager were working with me and not against me. I would recommend our salesman Blake. He was very informative and knew his product so well. The finance manager, Noah, is also a tremendous asset to the organization. The process was easy and relatively quick. If you are in the market for a new vehicle, I can not recommend this dealership enough. This will be my only stop for a Volkswagen as long as I live in Texas. It’s worth the drive.

They were all very attentive and thorough in information presentation. Arryn was friendly and kept communication truthful and easy. Considering it was a Saturday, we didn’t feel pressured or rushed to complete the deal. Generally, car purchases are uncomfortable and an unpleasant experience. Not so for us. Good job!
