I rarely do online reviews, but I feel like this needed
I rarely do online reviews, but I feel like this needed to be shared for anyone is considering buying from this dealership. This has been a truly bad experience since the purchase (or lease). I went to purchase an Atlas from Brandon Tomes VW in Dec. of 2023. My first red flag should have been how clear my requirements were in a vehicle and how they seemed to be unsure of which cars had which options. I ended up with most of the requirements except for an upgraded stereo system which they agreed to put into an IOU. I agreed. We were approached to lease rather than purchase the car stating all maintenance would be covered. With some discussion, we agreed unfortunately. Today is Aug. 2025 (20 months later) and I am left with a mess of a stereo system that I was asked to contribute $400.00 to as they refused to make good on their commitment. I have been way too nice honestly to just move on. The terrible excuse for a stereo they installed has never worked properly, not to mention how terrible it sounds. The vehicle has ongoing electrical issues to include infotainment, a promised Bluetooth CarPlay connection that never works to my now remote start that has quit working. This weekend was the straw for me when the service department walked out to me to show me that an aftermarket part was installed that seems to have cause the remote start issues. This was their aftermarket stereo! This car has never been anywhere but this dealership. On top of the fact that I was told my vehicle was ready to be picked up but after I arrived was not. I was not provided with a loaner and personally rented a car that had now been returned. There were no apologies, and no efforts have been made to make anything right. Lots of lessons learned here. This is a very unprofessional and dishonest dealership. I hope this review is helpful to someone.
Dealer Response
CM, we’re sorry to hear about all the frustrations you’ve had with your Atlas since leasing it and understand how disappointing it must be to deal with stereo issues, electrical concerns, and communication breakdowns during your visits. That’s certainly not the experience we want anyone to have here. Shane Potts, our Service Manager, would really like to connect with you directly to go over everything in detail and work toward a resolution. You can reach him at spotts@brandontomesvw.com or (214) 701-6892 at your convenience. We appreciate the time you took to share such a detailed review, and we’d welcome the opportunity to address your concerns personally and find a better path forward. Talk soon. Take care.

On 6/24/2025, I went in to lease a 2025 Tiguan.
On 6/24/2025, I went in to lease a 2025 Tiguan. I wanted a specific model, trim, color and interior. I was told they located a car with my specifications at a dealership in south Texas and the car had been secured. I signed all the paperwork that day, with the specific VIN # on the document, put down first months payment and thought that meant the sale was final. The salesperson James told me he was personally going to drive down in the morning to get the car and it would be ready for pickup in 2 to 3 days. On 6/26/2025 I get a call from James (still have the voicemail) saying he did not drive down to get the car, but it was being loaded on a truck for delivery so that additional miles would not accrue on the vehicle. An hour later... I got a call saying they had bad news. The car was sold to someone else. At this point I was speaking to a manager named Michael. I expressed my frustration and told them they needed to find me another car ASAP as I had sold my old car and was now left with no transportation. Micheal told me that for the past day and a half he had been searching all over for a car with my exact specifications, they did not exist. I told him that James had JUST left me a voicemail saying the car was being put on a truck...so this means that they knew the car had been sold out from under me without letting me know... otherwise why would they have been looking for another car during this time? Makes no sense. And if that was the case.... why was I just told the car was on a truck on the way to DFW? During ALL this... I was not notified of the issue once. They then asked me to settle for a different exterior color or interior color. No... I am the customer and get to choose that for which I am paying. I told them they needed to provide me with a loaner car for my troubles as I now had no transportation while I figured out my next steps in finding a new car. They said they would do that. I went up to the dealership and told them I would be ok with a Sandstone color exterior with the same interior and specs as the original car I signed for since no white ones existed. They called me the morning of 6/30/2025 and said they found one at a local dealership and it would be on the lot by our set appointment time that afternoon. I was even told they would cover the first 2 months payments for my troubles. Later that day, I got a call stating ONCE AGAIN....That car fell through as well. At this point I was FURIOUS! They once again tried to get me to settle for a car I did not want! I WAS DONE! Jerry, the GM, then told me I needed to bring the loaner car back that day. I told him the BVA I signed said I had the car until July 4th. I needed it still to secure a vehicle at this point. I went to another local dealership and from the moment I walked in... It was top notch service and professionalism. I ended up getting the car I wanted from that dealership. I called Jerry and told him I secured a deal at another dealership. I told him since I cannot drive two cars(loaner and new purchase)... I was going to leave the loaner at that dealership, and he could have someone come get it if he needed it that day(as mentioned to me earlier). The dealerships are about fifteen miles from one another. At this point he began YELLING at me saying if I did not return the car to him TODAY, He was calling the police and having me arrested. I was in shock. Thankfully, the salesman at the professional dealership was in the car with me and heard EVERY WORD. He was even shocked at this behavior. I told him legally I had the car until July 4th per the paperwork. But he was not hearing it. I terminated the call at that point as I was not willing to be threatened and harassed any longer. About 5 minutes later, I received a call saying someone was coming to get the loaner. From start to finish this was the most unprofessional encounter I have EVER experienced.
