Do NOT take your car to Volkswagen of Murfreesboro for service! Yesterday, I brought my car in for maintenance. I was not having any issues out of my Volkswagen Atlas, but it was time for an oil change, a multipoint inspection, a tune up, and new brakes & rotors. I brought my car in at 7:30 am for an 8:00 am appointment and dropped it off with them. About an hour later, I got my multipoint inspection video where the suggested 2 additional maintenance services and tested my battery on camera in the video. I went ahead and did the 2 additional maintenance items suggested - new cabin air filter & changing my Haldex fluid. I spent a total of $1,600 when all the maintenance was said and done. When they tested my battery, which again in on video that they sent me, they said that it tested healthy and that they did not recommend a new battery at the time. They were not done with my car until 4:00 pm. I picked my car up and went straight home. This morning, when I went out to my car to go to work, it would not start. And now it won’t start without being jumped. So, I called the dealership and they told me to bring it in. I had to get my car jumped a total of 3 times before getting to the dealership. I get here and they said I needed a new battery. I explain everything to them and show them the video of having a healthy battery yesterday. They just said they can’t predict when a battery goes out, but how was it healthy yesterday and in less than 24 hours completely drained to only 17% health? I asked if maybe they left the lights on or the doors open or something all day while working on it for 8 hours. The shop manager just scoffed and said that wouldn’t do damage to the battery. I brought up the video that THEY sent me of THEM testing the battery yesterday morning, stating that the battery was in good health. He said that’s because they were just testing it with a small battery tester. All that to say, due to my battery having to be programmed to me car & not being able to just go to AutoZone and get a battery, I am forced to pay them $450+ for a new battery that was completely healthy, as proven by their own video, before being left with them for 8 hours.

Very disappointed, no courtesy shuttle as of 1 Nov 2025. While I understand I will pay premium for service to then not even provide courtesy shuttle in local area is ridiculous. Tells me the Dealership is pinching penney’s and downgrading customer service.
