They will rob you.

I took my car to york volkswagen to have them replace my water pump and to find out why my epc light kept coming on. I got a call back from them several days later stating that my o2 sensor faults were causing my epc issue. They stated 650 dollars to fix the torn wire underneath my car and the o2 sensors. I told the guy that my o2 sensors were not causing the epc issue and I knew that for a fact because I've had those o2 sensor faults for years without ever having an epc issue. Even though I knew that was not the issue I told them fine, go ahead and fix it. They end up giving me a call back stating that they're still getting an error and that I would need to pay for another diagnostic... I agreed even though I had already paid for that diagnostic it should have been found the first time... They called me back again and said that my camshaft positioning sensor is broken and that is why my epc light was coming on. That should have been found during the first diagnostic. That is what I paid for. Not o2 sesnsors... So I get my car back I start it up and I have no gas in my car when I know I dropped it off with atleast a 1/4 tank. On my way to fill up my tank my check engine light came on as well as my epc light. I ended up having to take it back to get the camshaft positioning sensor replaced. They did and I got my car back. Drove a 1/4 mile off their lot and my check engine light came on. I used my code reader to see why. It was for an o2 sensor! I called them and talked to the service manager stating that they had told me 650 dollars to fix everything resulting with the o2 sensors. He said bring the car back and they will look over everything they did. So I took my back and I got a call from them today stating that the wire they had "fixed" was the issue and that there are 2 pins touching each other and that it would cost me 700 dollars to fix. I said no. I already paid yous 650 dollars to fix this issue he said no. You paid 650 for us to put the wire back together. Well if there is pins touching each other they didnt do the job right. I got pissed and told them to give me my car back. He then proceeded to tell me all I would have to pay for is the diagnostic. WHAT?! What diagnostic?! I didnt take it in for that. They were supposed to look over what they did. He then told me okay. You can come pick up your car. No diagnostic fee and you will not be aloud to bring your car here ever again... I bought this car from them brand new in 2012 and this is the service I get? Pathetic. If you ask me they miss diagnosed the issues and realized it and realized that they would end up having to put more work than they thought. That is not on me. They said 650 dollars to fix all of the issues. That's all that needs to be said. They are not holding up what they said and are lying about the situation.

We bought a Passat yesterday that we found on cars.com. After sending the interest email I was quickly contacted by Tristan. We met him at the dealership and he was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to about the sales process, the vehicle features and all available financing options. The only drawback was the long wait to finalize the deal with the finance department, but even that wasn’t too bad as complementary drinks and snacks were readily available. I also highly recommend “Marino’s” right next door to celebrate your purchase with a delicious Italian meal!
