Beware of the finance dept
Looking for a car for my granddaughter. Made it clear I didn't want them checking my credit until we had worked out a deal because I didn't want unnecessary hard inquiries on my credit report. After our test drive, they asked for permission to check my credit and I said ok. As it turns out we could not come to a deal. Later that day, I checked my credit report and not only did they run my credit, they submitted it to five banks who also ran my credit. I got 6 hard inquiries in one day. In case you don't know, 2 hard inquiries per two years is the limit for a great credit rating, which I used to have. More than that and you start losing points. They gave me 6 in one day. Now, I still need to get a car and my credit score is reduced because of these incompetent fools.
