Worst experience ever

Would never buy a car here again. I have been a customer for over 20 years. Bought a brand new car. When I picked it up they never detailed it. Glue is still on it. Still to this day because they never took it off. Never prepped the car. Then lost my car. The sales team is awful. The sales manager didn’t even remember talking to me or where my car was after he told me to drop it off. The car is brand new and has defects all in which they ignored. Never again. They made zero attempt to make this right.

Misleading Financing / Unethical Charges

Reviewed by Mike Mo in Reading, PAMarch 20, 2021

A week ago I would have given this dealership 5 stars. I made an hour drive Saturday night and got there right before closing to check out a used car. My salesman was great and let me take the car for a spin on my own, I came back and agreed to buy it. He had the car taken to be cleaned up and detailed along with filling the tank with gas - an awesome gesture especially for buying a used car. I went to sign paperwork shortly after the dealerships closing time, the paperwork was prepared and signing was a breeze. I was out the door about an hour later driving my car home. Honestly, it was a good buying experience at the time. Today I get a call saying that I need to provide more proof of income for the financing to go through even though I was approved for the loan. During this time I called the financing company who told me Ciocca sells them the lien and that they currently didn't have my car/name/financing in their system. I called my credit union to see about financing the car through them instead of sending w2s and more pay stubs in to the dealership. The credit union asked me for the total finance price of the car. I pulled the invoice out of the package and looked on the invoice to see a 2550 dollar extended warranty that was slipped in to the paperwork that I was signing. I thought this was the certified pre-owned paperwork, as it's on a VW letterhead - turns out it's Volkswagen's added on warranty instead. This raised the payments of the car by 30 dollars a month for a warranty I never intended to use, the worst part is there is a 3 tier selection on the package and it was automatically selected at the second tier. Some of the blame is mine for not asking to see all of the paperwork outside of only the ones to sign, I was naive in thinking that 1; by signing the paperwork quickly I was getting everyone home faster on a Saturday night and 2; thinking that this would be an ethical car dealership. As of right now I have no idea what is going on with the car as we are waiting for a call back from the finance office at the dealership. At this point I'd rather just have the contract cancelled and my down payment refunded. I'll happily go elsewhere. I'll update this post to reflect the dealerships actions. (I should also note that the car was advertised with having 4 rubber mats but the passenger side one was taken out and replaced with a normal Golf mat, but that's small fries compared to 2550 dollars.)

Great car buying experience

Reviewed by JerryBr in Dallas, PAJuly 16, 2016

I purchased a 2016 VW Beetle Dune. Initially I was contacted by John Hershey, since I went through USAA's Car Buying Service. Upon arriving at the dealership I was greeted promptly by a friendly salesperson, who let John know I was at the dealership. It turned out that John had this salesman, Dan Berry, actually assist me with the vehicle test drive and finalizing the numbers, and getting my trade in appraised. The entire process was excellent. Dan was very knowledgeable, and helpful, and took genuine interest in me. The entire sales team, from John, and Dan to the sales manager, Jason, and the Business Manager, Jeromy, were not only professional, but they were courteous, friendly and sincere in making my buying experience the very best. I was also introduced to service and Dan went so far as to set up my first service appointment for my new Dune. Great job, guys. And so far, I'm very impressed with the 2016 Beetle Dune! I does all I hoped for and more.
