Went and got service done for my car here, and it was the single worst experience with a car dealership I've ever had in my life. I've dealt with used car lots more reliable. After being told on a Tuesday (8/17) it would take 2-3 business days for my parts (A replacement key) to arrive, they did not. They did not arrive the following Monday (8/23) either. Mind you, I had to call them every time to check on the status, as lifting a phone for these employees appears to be a herculean task. I (again) called to find out the status of the key, on Tuesday, 8/24, and was told it hadn't arrived. At this point I'm getting upset. Fortunately for me, however, this employee (Who, unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of, as I must've dealt with everyone who had access to a phone by the end of this) had enough sense to ask for my car's VIN number. I provided it to him and he said "Oh, your key came in under williams, not woodward". William is my middle name, and Woodward is my last. I was assured the key had only arrived that day, but I'm skeptical, as we only checked under Woodward on previous days. Next is the process of "programming" the key to the car. This is the process of making it so the lock and unlock and open trunk buttons on the key fob are linked to your car. This process as far as I can tell takes maybe 20-30 mins tops? They will charge you an hour of labor, of course, but this is the way mechanics make money, and I understand this. I was told my the gentleman in parts that I initially ordered the key from on Tuesday that it would take an hour. Fine. After confirming the key was there Tuesday morning, I'm told by the gentleman on the phone they will try their best to expedite the process and get the key programmed to the car ASAP. Well that never happened. I call back again, around 3:30PM and ask the status of the key programming. Now I find out that no one in the dealership knows where the car is. Apparently, the tow truck driver must've hidden my car, for a little laugh. The incompetence required to lose a car is really impressive actually, and now that it's over, it is actually kind of funny to think about. Once again, I'm promised a call back once the car is found, and they will update me on the status. Once again, they fail to call me back. Maybe no one ever taught them how to use a phone? So once again, I'm forced to call them. It turns out the car is found, and I'm promised the car will be ready by end of day (8/24) or first thing in the morning, 8/25. So here we are, 8/25, and can you guess what happens next? If you've been paying attention to this rant of mine, you can probably guess pretty easily if your IQ is above that of a standard VW Marietta employee. The car wasn't ready in the morning. I, of course, never received a call about this, and had to reach out to them on my lunch for the third day in a row to find out the status of my car. I'm given the standard spiel about COVID impacting their ability to service vehicles and they're understaffed. Which is great! But frankly, I don't care! I need to buy groceries! I need to get to work! Don't tell me the car will be done by Wednesday morning at the latest if it won't be, and don't make me track you down every time you blow past a deadline that YOU set! Finally, I'm told the car will be ready by 5 PM, 8/25. I head there straight after work and get there at about 4:55 PM. I pay for the services done, and they hit me with one last "xxxx you" - the xxxxing work that I just paid for wasn't even done. You've read that right. I walked in, paid 200 dollars to program the key to the car and have a headlight bulb replaced, and the work wasn't done. The headlight still wasn't working, and try as I might, pressing the unlock and lock buttons on the key fob yielded no results. The car did not respond.

Amazing Experience!

Reviewed by VW Tiguan from Marietta GAJune 02, 2021

I recently purchased a 2021 VW Tiguan and had a great buying experience and absolutely love the car. A few weeks after getting the car, I scraped the front of the bumper in a parking lot. When i went back to the dealer to see if they could help me buff it out, i was pleasantly surprised with how professional, helpful and understanding the team was. Thank you Jared P and Sean E !!
