My wife has been customer of VW of New Port Richey since

Reviewed by RonROctober 18, 2023

My wife has been customer of VW of New Port Richey since we moved to FL in 2017. She has always been satisfied with the work. Recently, she went it for a n oil change and they said a number of things needed work. I was skeptical so I brought the car to friend who has worked on the cars for us previously. He supported everything they said needed work. I did save some money having him do the work however. I have wanted an EV for a while. Wasn’t too sure about the ID.4 but we got a fantastic deal on a 2023 lease and we love it! I strongly recommend VW of New Port Richey. If I had to name everyone we have had positive interactions with there, this review would be even more lengthy. Suffice it to say, EVERYONE was wonderful and treated us very well.

The absolute worst dealership!

Reviewed by JJ_3100September 23, 2023

The absolute worst dealership! Purchased one of their used vehicles ( which was never properly inspected ). Spoke to management about the engine issue, they asked me to come in to further diagnose the vehicle and after multiple follow ups and a week later, I am still left with being unable to drive my truck. Save yourself the dealer fees and buy from a used car lot, you'll get the same experience. 0 accountability. Buyer beware.

The service department at this dealership takes the term

Reviewed by FLDiverMomSeptember 12, 2023

The service department at this dealership takes the term sleazy used car salesman to a whole new level. Kev the service manager, is without a doubt, hands down, one of the sleaziest, common that I have ever had to displeasure to meet. His most recent transgression, among many, was the debacle he made out of the key to my car. I lost my key and had to have my car towed home. I called Volkswagen to order a new key, amd The man who answered the phone in the parts department called me a price somewhere between 75 and $80 for the new key, and told me it would be $90 to have it coded, he said it would take about a week for the key to come in, and that I would have to bring the car in which would mean have it towed, to have that key programmed and that it should take about an hour. On the day the key arrived I called Volkswagen service department to make arrangements to bring my car in to have the key coded I had to wait two days for an appointment. On the day of the appointment I had my car towed to Volkswagen where I retrieved the key and I waited the service guys to code it. First the gentleman who ordered the key for me and the parts department told me to wait one moment because he was concerned about the key I had ordered as it did not have the remote control features. I told him I wasn't concerned about that I didn't care if it didn't have those just so long as the key would work and start the car. I then went over to Kev the service manager to get the key coded and cab quotes me a price that is $30 higher than what the part salesman told me it would cost to have it coded. When I told him that the parts guy told me it was a $30 less than that he just blew me off as Kevin always blows me off when he's constantly changing prices raising prices sometimes doubling and quadrupling the price of a part even though I already know what the price is, and at that point I was in for a penny and for a pound I needed my key I needed my car so here I am waiting when he tells me I might as well go home and he'll call me because he's not going to get anybody to get to it until 2:00 or 3:00 that afternoon. It was about 10:00 or 11:00 when I brought the car in. I said this was only supposed to take 20 minutes. He told me he couldn't have anybody to look at it until she or three. I waited a while, and after about an hour kept told me the tech was starting to work on it then. After about another hour I was tired I don't want to sit there anymore I told I was going to go home and to call me I figured it wouldn't be that much longer I'd go home and catch a quick 20 minute cat nap if possible. I go home and late that afternoon probably around 5:00 p.m. Kev calls me to tell me that I need a whole new ignition of the cost of $1,100 just for the part. Now I had done my research on the issue with the key and the coding and everything else during the month I sat trying to figure out what to do about this car and looking for the key that had been lost. I knew that there was a bypass code that could be used to get the key to start the car until it could be programmed. I also knew that the ignition immobilizer could be disabled. I knew that the bypass code was supposed to be in the glove compartment. But it wasn't. I also knew that the problem with their coding was with the ignition immobilizer antenna. It is a small round Part with a plastic covering that covers hundreds maybe thousands of tiny copper wires spun around the circle that sits right outside the ignition keyhole. It's just an antenna All it does is relay information from the ignition to the ECU where the ignition immobilizer programming is. I could have bought the antenna itself for about 150 bucks, But of course I'm not going to tell Kevin that because Kevin will lie right to my face Tell me that I need some $3,000 job done to my car and refuse to do what I tell him to do to my car as he did when I told him then just disable the ignition immobilizer and he told me no.
