Don't Overpay for Your New Toyota Tundra Hybrid

2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid Overview

Riding on a multilink rear suspension with air springs and powered by a twin-turbo V-6 with an optional hybrid system, the Toyota Tundra is one of the most advanced full-size pickup trucks on the market. For the 2024 model year, the Tundra gets new exterior styling and off-roading options.

What’s New?
New for 2024, Toyota will install a 3-inch TRD lift kit at the factory for $3,995. For ritzier rock crawling and mud-bogging fun, the TRD Off-Road Package, which includes Bilstein shock absorbers, is now available on the four-wheel-drive Tundra Platinum — as is the lift kit. On the mid-range Limited trim level, a new Nightshade Package features black 20-inch wheels and black bumpers, grille, mirrors and badging.

Standard and Optional Safety Equipment
Toyota fits its Safety Sense 2.5 tech suite into every 2024 Tundra. The system includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control and lane departure steering assist. Blind spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on some grades and optional on others.

Powertrain Specs
All Tundras are powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter i-Force V-6 engine. In the base SR trim, it makes 348 horsepower and 405 pounds-feet of torque. In all other trims, the i-Force is good for 389 hp and 479 pounds-feet. A hybrid system that Toyota calls i-Force Max is available and increases output to 437 hp and 583 pounds-feet; the hybrid pairs the V-6 engine with a 1.87-kilowatt-hour battery pack and an electric motor. With either powertrain, a 10-speed automatic is the only transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard in most trim levels, and 4WD is available on those for which it is not standard (it’s standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone variants).
