No complaints; it just works!

For my purposes -- mostly short trips close to home, this car does everything I need to do, and gets close to 50 mpg on gasoline, and 5 miles per kWh in EV mode. My mix of EV and gasoline driving results in overall gas mileage of about 140.

Love this car.

The Prime has a more solid drive feel and better handling than my 2011 Prius, which I also love. The nav screen has a bit of a learning curve that I'm still figuring out, but works well when I touch the right buttons. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Perfect car

Prius had plenty of power for driving in town or freeway. Ride is very comfortable and handles well. For everyday around town driving will never use any gas. Love my Prius Prime

2019 Toyota Prius Prime Overview

The 2019 Toyota Prius Prime is the plug-in version of the Prius hybrid hatchback. It has an EPA-estimated 25-mile pure electric driving range and a 640-mile total driving range.

Three trims are available: Plus, Premium, and Advanced.

The Prius Prime is driven by an 8.8-kilowatt-hour battery pack for the electric motor combined with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gas engine, both of which channel their energy through a continuously variable automatic transmission. Toyota says the battery can be recharged from empty on a standard 120-volt household outlet in 5.5 hours. On a 240-volt outlet, charging takes less than half that time.
