My son, age 22, purchased his first vehicle from Grieco Toyota for over $20,000. An engine issue was present at purchase and later misdiagnosed during the warranty period as spark plugs, with a quote of over $900. The real issue was internal engine failure that required more than $6,000 in repairs shortly after purchase. The dealership then spent over two months going back and forth and delaying submission to the warranty company before offering to reimburse only half of the repair cost. This situation was entirely avoidable and caused by selling the vehicle with an existing issue and misdiagnosing it. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience.

When brought back during the 90-day warranty period, the dealership misdiagnosed the issue as spark plugs and quoted over $900. The diagnosis was incorrect. The truck had internal engine failure requiring over $6,000 in repairs shortly after purchase. Grieco Toyota then went back and forth for over two months, delaying submission to the warranty company, and ultimately offered to reimburse only half of the repair cost. I was told to make an appt regarding a trade in.
I was told to make an appt regarding a trade in. Instead I am advised to lease a newer car. I don't want a newer car. I don't want a newer car. I'd trade for a decent cheaper car. I let him go check my financial mess and took off. Can't you listen to people and what they are saying. I'm not trying to impress people. I'm frigging 68 and fixed income. Hence I don't need bigger bills. It was a waste of time. Appt was useless , I've had better service just walking in.
