South Hills Toyota made the whole car-buying process easy
South Hills Toyota made the whole car-buying process easy and clear. The dealership was open and honest during the talks, so I never had to worry about any sneaky fees or surprises. They earned my trust and business. ◦

I had my 14 Tacoma with 50k towed to the dealership on
I had my 14 Tacoma with 50k towed to the dealership on 10/8 and got it back on 10/28, my front actuator had failed. I removed it myself and found it unserviceable due to rust, so had it towed in. The good: They took my truck in without an appointment. After pickup, the service writer was very friendly and understanding. We’ll get to the understanding part. The bad: they had my truck for 20 days. The cost of the part was $100 more than other dealerships. When they quote you a price, be aware that they don’t include tax, so expect to spend more. Upon picking up my truck, my low tire light was ON, obviously the free “multi-point inspection” noted on my bill, doesn’t happen. Even the washer bottle wasn’t filled, therefore I can only assume it wasn’t multi-point inspected at all. Fortunately there was a gas station close to fill my rear tire that had 20 psi in it. When I dropped off the truck, I left $45 worth of Amsoil diff fluid with a request to install it. Not only did they not install it, but they charge me for fluid, but they kept mine, I had to have them go and find mine. I had asked for the old actuator back so I could open it for my own curiosity, nope, they couldn’t find it. The next day my son noticed that my front skid plate was missing! I called the service manager, who didn’t answer, I left a message and he never called me. I took my truck back to the dealership and they hunted down my skid plate and bolts and asked me if I wanted them to put it on, of course I do! The service writer was very understanding and polite, she got it installed for me while I waited. Be aware that when they initially send you a text and say that is how they will communicate with you, and you can ask any questions, they don’t mean it. I got the text on day 1, twice I sent a message over the next 20 days that never got answered. The only message that I got was on day 20, and it was yet again the initial message, but this time when I asked for a status update, they answered. The update was oh, yeh, it’s finished. I’ve had service done at this dealership before. The last time they tried to charge me for a warranted cat converter shield. When I showed them in the warranty book, they agreed not to charge me. Little did I know until weeks later that they just tore off the loose shield and never replaced it.

Dead battery. Called at 8:30 to see if I could bring it in and get a new installed. Jim told me to bring it in and I was out of the dealership by 10:00 AM!
