My wife and I recently purchased a new Prius Prime from Kinderhook Toyota. Originally we went to look at a Rav 4, but we ended up driving a Prius Prime and fell in love with it. The sales process was the best I have encountered. We ended up with a fantastic deal. I started writing this review as I was waiting for the service department to complete the complimentary 5000 mile service, which includes free tire rotation, checking fluids and such. I made the appointment online, corresponding with the service department via email. My fist impression after driving into the service area was “this is nice”. Being the first service on the vehicle I was unfamiliar with the process. When arriving there was a huge service sign above an entry way which was essentially a huge open ended car port with room for several cars. I parked and left my car in this weather protected area as I walked a short distance to the service entrance. This was not only convenient for me, but would save the technician time looking for the vehicle. When I entered the service processing area there was one other person, who had pulled into the service drop off right behind me and had gotten inside before me. I thought I was going to have to wait until she was done, but there were 3 other service desks waiting to help me. I have been to other dealerships where there are four people waiting and one processing the people, not the other way around. It was my second nice surprise. Next I was processed in and directed to the lounge. The first thing I saw was a children’s lounge, then a free beverage area with coffee, hot chocolate and a few other options. The next thing was a large lounge area with a fireplace, which was unlit, and many large comfortable chairs. There were several other people in the lounge, but it was so large that we all had plenty of room to spread out. In addition, there was free WiFi. The service process took almost exactly 1 hour. When the service was complete, I was approached by an employee, who went over the maintenance performed: rotated tires, changed reverse beep to one beep instead of continuous beeping. In addition the invoice listed the amount of wear on my brakes, tire tread depth, coolant protected to -45F and tire pressure values. They also checked a number of items including the gas cap gasket, cabin air filter, battery, parking brake operation, air filter health, hoses for cracks, radiator core, drive belts, drive shaft, steering linkage, suspension and several other items. The work was all included with Toyota Care which was free with the purchase of the vehicle,. Bottom line is there was no charge to me. Hence, no need to go to the cashier. When leaving, my car was parked in the outgoing side of the weather protected, open ended car port. I hopped in and drove away thinking to myself this was the most painless service I have ever had......and I am 54.

I scheduled a service appointment on the phone, because the online process does not work. I got the 8:00 am appointment so that I would be the first of the day, hoping that it would not take long. The oil was changed and a routine point inspection was done. After 1hr and 30 minutes a technician came out and said I needed new tires and my inspection was due. I decided to go for the inspection. I did not buy the tires because of the cost of the purchase. I ALWAYS research and do comparison shopping.
It took a total of 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete this routine process. I saw people come and go, having the same things done. I also highly recommend that you compare the cost of tires (which includes installation and alignment) with Mavis. You could save up to $150.00 for the same tires and work!
Excellent Service!! Highly recommend this dealer.

I recently decided it was time to trade in my Subaru and look for another vehicle that provided a safe, comfortable ride but was also efficient for commuting to work each day. I stopped by Kinderhook Toyota and received truly excellent customer service working with Josh Amerling and Ray Zarcone. They showed me a number of vehicles and answered all my finance questions with complete transparency and honesty and within just a few short days I was in my new Rav 4 and I love it!! If you have put off going to get a car because you dread the process, definitely make the trip to Kinderhook Toyota and set up a meting with Josh, Ray or any of the team there. Both our family vehicles have come from this dealership in the last 2 months and we couldn't be happier.
